Ricardo Melo

Ricardo is a Senior Consultant.
Ricardo is an Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries with previous experience in the UK pensions industry and in international employee benefits captive reinsurance.
He joined the firm in October 2020, after completing a Master’s degree in Applied Actuarial Science at University of Kent, studying life insurance, Prophet modelling, and enterprise risk management.
Currently his role is focused on calculating technical provisions and solvency capital requirements, claims reserving and business planning for general insurance clients. He is a member of SDA’s Quality and Process Committee and one of SDA’s Climate Change Champions. He is also making his way through the rest of the actuarial exams.
When not working, Ricardo enjoys swimming, playing football and attending the weekly parkrun.
